Large Estate Landscaping Idea
While a large landscape design like this is very beautiful, it is far from being care free and low maintenance. If you have something like this in mind, you may want to consider how much time and money you're willing to put into keeping it up. Realistically though, most folks with landscaping ideas like this can afford to have someone else take care of it for them.
Most of the plants are shrubs that require periodic pruning and manicuring. Trimming around the shrubs or weeding the beds they're in can also be very time consuming. And I haven't even mentioned the lawn area and all that's involved in caring for a lawn of this size. If it sounds like I'm not so fond of landscaping ideas like this, that is correct.
Other than the maintenance and cost of a yard like this, the strain on our natural resources is also a consideration. As populations grow and global temperatures become warmer, we need to be responible with our resources. In a drought situation where water rationing may be a possibility, a yard like this one would need a quick makeover or it would soon show signs of need.
