Front Yard Landscape Design On A Small Slope
The slight slope on this front yard isn't really enough to cause a problem with runoff and saturation for planting. However, it is enough difference from one side to the other to require some terracing with retaining walls next to the home.
The main issue with homes that are stacked this way on hillside and sloped streets is the water and runoff from the neighbors yard and roof. At times it may be necessary to create diversion from the neighbors yard around your own front yard.
